PEPPERMINT TISANE ( Peppermint tea )

If you ever feel nervous or anxious about something, or you have some digestion problems, you could try peppermint tisane, maybe it will reduce or calm  those symptoms. It will also help you relax after hard day at work or school.



Latin name for peppermint: Mentha piperita
Peppermint tisane (or peppermint tea) benefits:
  • it has a calming effect on our body and it helps to reduce nervous states,
  • encourages urinary excretion,
  • encourages bile excretion,
  • encourages excretion of gastric juices (improves digestion),
  • it can calm vomiting reflex
  • it has antiseptic properties useful when having a cold or the flu.


Peppermint tisane ( Peppermint tea ) recipe:
  • boil 2 cups of water in the tea pot
  • when water reaches boiling point remove the pot aside 
  • put 1 teaspoon of chopped fresh peppermint leaves (3 or 4 whole leaves) or 1/2 teaspoon of minced dry peppermint leaves
  • leave it like that for 5-10 minutes
  • filter your peppermint tisane
  • divide peppermint tisane in half, so you will have 2 cups to drink, one immediately and the other one in one or two hours later 
  • to improve taste, add some lemon juice or 1 teaspoon of honey
  • enjoy your homemade peppermint remedy
  • sip it slowly
